Synopsis

The secret history of the House of M universe continues as Luke Cage's Avengers battle Shang-Chi's Dragons... Officer Misty Knight infiltrates the Avengers to take them down from within... and Thunderbird's FBI task force, The Brotherhood, recruits a new Sapien member: ex-Marine Frank Castle, aka The Punisher! And tragedy strikes as an Avenger head toward death!

Plot

It's been some time after the events of the last issue, and now Misty Knight is part of Luke Cage's gang, who are currently at war with the Dragons, a gang out of Chinatown, led by Shang-Chi. The Dragons are moving into Sapientown and Luke is trying to convince them to work together against the Mutants. Shang-Chi, thinks about it but rejects Luke's proposal.

Elsewhere, in Central Park, Frank Castle and his family are having a picnic when they witness Mutants murder another Mutant. The gang attacks the Castle family, but Frank is able to kill them before they can hurt his family. This gets Frank arrested, but FBI agent Thunderbird, gives Frank the option, work for his team, The Brotherhood, or go to jail.

Later, Misty Knight is finally accepted in Luke's crew and is giving more responsibility and is given more information, something that please Thunderbird, who is using her to get intel on the gang. He then feeds her information about the Dragons and gives her a gun that can pierce Luke's invulnerably skin.

That night the Dragons and Luke's gang fight over a shipment of tech, and both gangs are ambushed by The Brotherhood. Thunderbird orders Misty Knight shot Luke when his attention is diverted. She refuses and Taskmaster takes the shot, but Tigra throws herself in the path of the kill shot, dying in Luke's arms.

Thunderbird again orders Misty to take the shot and she does, but who does she shoot?
